In today’s world of email, people are being flooded with hundreds of messages each day, many of them being spammy marketing emails. So the question is, how can your emails make it through all the spam, get read, and most importantly initiate some sort of response. Marketing experts still claim that email is one of the best ways to follow up with prospects and nurture excellent sales leads. Email recipients are becoming more intelligent and accustomed to sniffing out spam or recognizing poorly designed marketing methods. You could have the best email list of prospects, but if your email or message is not executed optimally, then it’s all for naught.

email marketingAssuming you have an Infofree subscription and have already created a perfectly targeted list for your business, the next step would be to devise an effective marketing campaign and message to entice prospects to open and read your message. The following are 3 tips to make your marketing emails stand out:

Write an effective subject line

It all starts with your subject line. A properly written subject line is the most important part of your email because if it’s the first thing that people see. Think of it as a first impression. See our post about writing effective subject lines to learn more.

Once you get the prospects through the door by capturing their attention, you can stand out with the following methods:

End your email with a question

Almost every marketing email ends with a call to action like “start your free trial” or “sign up”. By asking a question, you create the option to engage with the prospect. A good question could be something like, “could this work for your business?”, or “has your business experienced the same challenge?” This gives you an opportunity to respond with a personalized message. This conversation increases your chances to create a good relationship with the prospect.  Personalization will put a person behind the email, not just some faceless company.

Timing is key when connecting with prospects

According to a study conducted by GetResponse, the best day of the week to send out emails is on Tuesday. More specifically between 6am-11am. This time has the highest open rate than any. Keep in mind that many businesses have customers all across the United States, so noting the time zone is an important factor to consider.

Using Infofree’s targeted sales leads in addition to using the tips above can make your business increase sales and profitability. Our leads and lists have been helping businesses grow since 2011.
